PUPSICLES and easy summer treats

Dogs and treats. They live for them!

It has been such a hot summer this year and although we make treats throughout the year, our pups have really enjoyed the frozen treats while playing in the early mornings in the yard.

We use Ice cube trays but a fun mold would be great and so cute. But we found that our pups really don't care about cute when it comes to treats!

Here are three of our easy summertime treat recipes we make:

Pumpking and Yogurt

1 can pureed pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)

1 cup full fat greek yogurt (no sugar)

Mix together and freeze in molds or ice cube trays. Store in freezer bags.

Yogurt and Apples

1-2 apples, chopped

1 cup whole fat greek yogurt, no sugar

Add apples and a teaspoon of water to high powered blender and puree and then blend in Yogurt. Freeze in ice cube trays or molds. Store in freezer bag.

Oaties

1 cup oats

1 mashed banana

1/4-1/2 cup peanut butter

Mash everything together with a fork and spoon small spoonfulls on a parchment lined cookie sheet and place in freezer. Once frozen place treats in freezer bag and keep frozen until served.
